MOCEANU TO START FAMILY (PR)
CLEVELAND, JULY 24, 2007—Olympic gold medal winning Gymnast Dominique Moceanu and her long-time love and husband of eight months, Dr. Michael Canales, have announced that they will be starting a family. Moceanu is pregnant and due to give birth to the couple’s first child this January.
"We are so excited," said Moceanu. "Mike and I have talked about starting a family for so long. It’s really a dream come true."
Moceanu said she plans to stay in the Cleveland area where she teaches gymnastics and where Canales practices as a foot and ankle surgeon.
"We love it in Ohio and look forward to raising a family here," said Moceanu. "Bringing a precious new life into this world is the ultimate achievement – and we can’t wait!"
